GREEN UP DAY 2017

Green Up Day is almost here. Please join us at the town office this Saturday, May 6, at 9:00am to grab bags and clean up the roads. We’ll have coffee, water and breakfast treats! Like last year, we’ll use the green bags for trash, and also have clear bags for any clean recyclables we come across. Just leave all the bags by the side of the road and we’ll collect them throughout the morning, until about mid-day. If you need bags in advance, please contact me and I will get them to you.

A few important safety things to remember when you’re out bagging up trash and recyclables:

1. Wear high visibility clothing, to make sure drivers can see you
2. Wear gloves
3. Avoid anything that looks hazardous or toxic (needles, chemicals, etc) – please let me know, and we’ll deal with it
4. Protect yourself from ticks and bug bites by wearing long pants and sleeves and spraying yourself
